Foot arch collapse and the femur internal rotation

When assessing range of foot arch collapse consider the following internal rotation at the hip. Foot arch collapse may not be the worst thing if the rest of the lower limb stays in a neutral and balanced position during hip flexion/extension.

But, if you do notice your foots arch collapsing and the knee valgus is the follow through, strengthening the arch may be something to include in training cycle.

Don’t fear the flat feet, fear the uncontrolled medial knee drift.
