The Kettlebell press gives us coaches a perfect opportunity to strengthen a new clients rotator cuff.
In this video taken from our Kettlebell certificate in Indonesia we demonstrate what a typical overhead press from a general population client may look like. This internal rotation position is usually a balance strategy due to weak rotator cuffs during pressing. This overhead position isn’t a “bad” position, it is just most of the general population are stuck and limited to this for any and all presses which can be risky.
So, with the simple cue of, “point you thumb back”, press overhead and fight against the force of the Kettlebell.
