Dan is back with another video to help improve your kettlebell workout! This week he’s covering an advanced technique: the staggered stance.
This is an advanced move and should only be attempted after perfecting the moves with a regular stance.
The staggered stance enables you to increase the load of only one side of the body without affecting your balance. It’s the happy medium of a bilateral and unilateral stance.
Some tips from the video:
- The majority of the load should be on the front leg. Think 80% on the front and 20% on the back.
- Make sure you still have the correct hip extension as you would in a non-staggered stance
- Balance is key! Try to not wobble too much by engaging your core.
