This video showcases two of the best kettlebell exercises: The kettlebell lunge and the kettlebell snatch and combines them both to create one amazing kettlebell exercise.
We all know many kettlebell exercises are excellent for the glutes and posterior chain. This takes it to another level with an exercise that requires power and another that demands stability. This movement is not for the novice and is appropriate for people that have spent time perfecting their technique with the snatch and stability with the lunges.
You need to ‘Earn your Right’ with this movement and be very accomplished performing double kettlebell snatches and lunges (forwards and backwards off both legs) before even attempting this exercise. Start with a single kettlebell and lunge forwards epsilaterally and contralaterally. Once this feels stable and efficient then you can move to the reverses lunges. The next stage of progression is the addition of the second kettlebell. This is really challenging!
